Original Stables we demolished

Living in Northern Ireland and with the weather here, an indoor facility was necessary, which is why we bought this property as it had a lovely large shed which had stables inside, after ripping out the stables, we had playground flooring installed, insulated and boarded the walls, used 20 gallons of paint to decorate, put up additional lighting and CCTV, an overhead projector, electric screen and we have just fitted oil central heating.

We kept one stable which we have made into the office, which is fully equipped with TV, Internet and a range of goods for sale which includes K9ARC clothing

office

The old tack room has been developed into a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and a range cooker, coffee and tea making facilities, which can be used by members and enable K9ARC to cater for shows and workshops. This gave us an indoor arena for rainy days and evening use and that day each year when its too hot for the dogs to work outside [a Monday last year].

For the days when its dry, we also have a gated, enclosed floodlit sand menege this gets the dogs fitter as sand gives slightly under their paws and being a bigger area gives us more scope for training Agility and FlyBall as well as giving our dogs the experience of an additional training surface.

With the 2 acre sloping field, we had this 'flattened' and made a full size grass agility arena, we use this in the summer and at week-ends, holding our shows here and train Agility and FlyBall weather permitting. We have planted new hedging and hundreds of new trees.

All our training areas have wheelchair access.
